HISTORY
Ted Mashy started his company the “Ted H. Mashy Company” in 1972 and a year later merged with Gordon Smith of “Cal West Chemical” to form Cal West-Mashy Company in 1973. Gordon and Ted worked together for 6 or 7 years and until Gordon’s retirement. Ted continued to run the company but eventually retired and sold his ownership stakes to his son David in 1991. David Mashy ran the company hiring outside salesmen James Allen in 1999 and Kenn Johnston in 2002. Upon David’s retirement in February of 2019, James and Kenn purchased the company from David and continue to move the company forward.
What are AODD pumps, and does Cal West Mashy represent them?
AODD pumps (air-operated double-diaphragm pumps) use compressed air to drive two diaphragms back and forth to transfer liquid. Cal West Mashy represents MacNaught AODD pumps and oil transfer pumps for Northern California and Western Nevada. For accurate chemical dosing, a metering pump is usually the better choice; see Doseuro metering pumps below. Does Cal West Mashy represent Doseuro metering pumps?
Yes. Cal West Mashy is the Northern California and Western Nevada representative for Doseuro (FPZ) metering and dosing pumps. Doseuro pump types we specify: mechanical diaphragm metering pumps, hydraulic diaphragm metering pumps, plunger and piston metering pumps, solenoid dosing pumps, and packaged dosing units and skids. Typical duties include chemical feed and dosing for water and wastewater treatment (coagulation, flocculation, pH control, disinfection feed, anti-scale and anti-corrosion), chemical and pharmaceutical processes, food and beverage, pulp and paper, and refinery chemical injection. Wetted materials discussed include 316L stainless steel, PVC, PP, PVDF and PTFE; final selection depends on the fluid and duty. Yes. Cal West Mashy represents UIG storage tanks for chemical storage in Northern California and Western Nevada. UIG tank types we offer: bolted storage tanks, epoxy coated storage tanks, stainless steel tanks, glass bonded tanks, and self-supporting geodesic domes.
