3. Includes : a drum provided with filtering cells and a casing which enables operation under pressure. Each filter cell is provided with a filter element and a filtrate outlet drain pipe. Sealing between casing and drum via stuffing box. The gap between the drum and casing is divided into process chambers (typically slurry inlet and filtration, cake washing, squeezing-drying, discharge and cloth washing) with a series of longitudinal seals constantly pressed onto the drum with compressed air. The drum rotates continuously and consecutively places the filtering cells in contact with each chamber.ƒ

4. Thickness varies from a 60 mm up to 200 mm.
